Added protection against accidental mouthing: each miniature piece features a child-safe, non-transfer bitter coating designed to discourage young children from putting it in their mouths or swallowing it. The unpleasant taste adds an extra layer of protection, while the coating stays on the piece and does not transfer to skin during normal handling.

U/V and X/Y are paired in shared drawers. Most objects focus on beginning sounds; X uses the ending /ks/ sound. This set contains small miniature pieces, so adult supervision is required. The bitter coating is an additional deterrent only and does not replace supervision. Although made from food-grade materials, the pieces are not intended for chewing or consumption. Object colors and details may vary slightly by production batch.
